Every October, veterinary practices across the country celebrate National Vet Tech Week, a special time dedicated to recognizing the incredible contributions of registered veterinary technicians. 

This week, we want to say thank you to the unsung heroes of animal care: veterinary technicians. Vet techs go above and beyond every day, and Vet Technician Week is our chance to celebrate their incredible work. Their dedication includes: 

• Comforting anxious pets and helping them feel safe 
• Assisting in life-saving surgeries and procedures 
• Supporting veterinarians behind the scenes with expertise and care 
• Bringing compassion, skill, and dedication to every aspect of pet care 

Whether helping a puppy through its first exam, monitoring anesthesia during surgery, or offering comfort in tough moments, their work leaves a lasting mark on families and communities. 

If you’re visiting your veterinary clinic during Vet Tech Week, take a moment to thank the veterinary technicians on staff. A simple word of appreciation can go a long way.
