The weather was perfect, the tails were wagging, and the competition was fierce—in the cutest way possible! Pet Wellness Clinics had a blast at this year’s Alliance for Responsible Pet Ownership (ARPO) Dog Olympics at Broad Ripple Park and we couldn’t be more grateful to have been part of such a paw-sitively heartwarming event.
The field was filled with excitement as dogs of all shapes and sizes arrived ready to compete for gold (and treats). One of the highlights was reconnecting with some of our beloved clients, including Reo, Lilli, Stormi, and Kaiju—four familiar faces from our College Park location. We also made some wonderful new friends, like Luna the cattle dog and Ranger, who may not be PWC clients (yet!) but certainly stole our hearts.
Throughout the day, pups competed in a series of crowd-pleasing events. The Cupcake Eating Contest had everyone cheering—especially for Lex the French Bulldog, who dove snoot-first into victory. In the Treat Catching Competition, Leo the dachshund snagged the top prize with impressive focus, while the golden retriever, Rizzo, earned applause with a dramatic mid-air catch captured perfectly in photos.
Then there was the T-Shirt Race, a test of speed, teamwork, and patience. Willow took first place with lightning-fast energy, while Cleo and her devoted human brought the crowd to its feet by simply finishing the race. Their joyful, slightly chaotic journey reminded us what these games are all about—fun, love, and shared moments.
Over at the PWC tent, we handed out dog bandanas, goodie bags, and info about our services, including Pet Prime membership and emergency care through Airport Animal Emergi-Center. We loved chatting with attendees and sharing special event-only discounts for pet parents looking to keep their companions happy and healthy all year long.
Beyond the games and giveaways, the best part of the day was supporting ARPO and their incredible mission to help pets in need. Every entry, every laugh, every tail wag helped make a difference.
We’re so proud to have been part of this year’s Dog Olympics and can’t wait to do it all again. To everyone who stopped by, competed, or simply came out to support a good cause—thank you for making this day unforgettable.
