Leigh Spaulding ~ Manager of the Month September 2026

Pet Wellness Clinics is proud to name Leigh Spaulding our Manager of the Month. As Manager at Airport Animal Emergi-Center. Leigh keeps a demanding emergency clinic running with a forward-thinking mindset, a steady hand, and a real investment in the people around her. The clinic's ability to meet whatever comes through the door, at any hour, is a direct reflection of her leadership. 

Nearly 26 Years, and It Shows 

Leigh began her career in veterinary medicine in 2000 and joined Airport Animal Emergi-Center in July 2013. Over the past thirteen years she has become someone the whole clinic relies on. That level of experience gives her a rare perspective and the kind of instincts that are only earned over time. 

A Leader Who Is Always a Step Ahead 

Leigh leads by doing. She sets a high standard, keeps her composure when the clinic gets busy, and is always thinking about how to make the next shift run a little smoother. Her teammates know that when things get hectic, she is right there in the thick of it with them, ready to help however she can. 

Building Up the Team Around Her 

What truly sets Leigh apart is how much she pours into the people she works with. She mentors, encourages, and advocates for her teammates, always looking for ways to help them grow and do their best work. That commitment has played a real role in building the strong, collaborative team the emergency clinic counts on every day. 

An Impact Felt Across the Clinic 

Those qualities do not go unnoticed by the people who work alongside her. Her impact is best captured in the words of her nomination:

Outside the Clinic 

Away from work, Leigh's life is happily full. Leigh loves camping, crafting, cards and board games, cooking, and keeping up with Big Brother, and she has a real gift for planning a great party. She and her husband, James, are parents to their son, Caileb, and have a home full of pets: their dog, Ricky, and two cats, Clinton and Carter.  

Clinton is AAEC’s retired blood donor cat. A gentle hero who helped save countless pets before earning his well-deserved retirement.
