Dr. Duckett ~ Vet of the Month

Celebrating Our Vet of the Month – Dr. Duckett!

At Pet Wellness Clinics, we’re lucky to have veterinarians who bring not only clinical expertise but also deep compassion to every appointment. This month, we’re proud to spotlight Dr. Duckett from Broad Ripple Pet Wellness Clinic as our Veterinarian of the Month!

Dr. Duckett’s journey into veterinary medicine began with a personal connection—his childhood dog, Toby, a West Highland White Terrier. “Toby had chronic allergies and Cushing’s disease,” he recalls. “Once he was gone, I knew I wanted to help animals like him live more comfortably.”

Originally from Huntington, Indiana, Dr. Duckett earned his bachelor’s degree in animal science from Purdue University and his DVM from St. George’s University in Grenada. His interests span surgery, cardiology, and one of his favorite fields—dentistry. “Dentistry is such a rewarding challenge. You get to make a noticeable, fast improvement in a pet’s health and comfort, which owners really appreciate.”

Dr. Duckett is also excited about the use of the HT Vista, an advanced, non-invasive diagnostic tool that helps evaluate questionable growths and tumors. “No one wants to be poked,” he states. “HT Vista gives us a new way to help guide treatment decisions quickly and painlessly.” He’s also a big advocate of ultrasounds as part of comprehensive, high-quality diagnostics.

What truly sets Dr. Duckett apart is his approach to care. “I love making meaningful connections with both pets and their people. It’s a privilege to be someone they trust during important moments in their pet’s life,” he says. “And at PWC, I’m supported by an incredible team and facility that lets us deliver the kind of care every pet deserves.”

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Duckett is an avid outdoorsman—you might catch him rock climbing, fishing, training for triathlons, or riding a unicycle (yes, really!). He shares his home with his dog, Meeko, who grew up on the beaches of Grenada but now enjoys exploring Indiana cornfields.

Thank you, Dr. Duckett, for your energy, passion, and dedication to pets and their families. We’re so glad to have you as part of the PWC team!
