This month, we’re honoring Dr. Mark Bailey, a veterinarian whose remarkable career has left a lasting impact on pets and their families.
After more than 30 years of providing veterinary care to Indianapolis pets, Dr. Mark Bailey will retire on April 6, 2026. While this marks the end of an era at Pet Wellness Clinics, it also gives us a special moment to reflect on his incredible impact, both on pets and the people who love them.
Dr. Bailey began his veterinary journey at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987 and also holds a Master’s Degree in Virology from Purdue University. Over the decades, he has become a trusted companion-animal veterinarian in the Fishers area, specializing in internal medicine, ophthalmology, and virology. He brings skill, empathy, and dedication to every patient he cares for.
For the past 11 years, Dr. Bailey has been an integral part of the Pet Wellness Clinics family. Many of our clients have known him for over 20 years. Together, we’ve shared countless joys— from welcoming new puppies and kittens to celebrating the long lives of cherished senior pets.
What truly sets Dr. Bailey apart is not just his depth of medical knowledge, but the way he treats every pet like his own. His approach reflects a genuine love for animals and a deep respect for the human–animal bond, a quality that has brought comfort to families and healing to pets again and again.
Thank you, Dr. Bailey, for your incredible dedication. Your legacy leaves our clinic stronger, our hearts fuller, and our community deeply grateful.
Join us in celebrating Dr. Bailey’s career and wishing him a joyful retirement filled with love, adventure, and plenty of quality time with those he holds dear!
