Dr. Riccitelli ~ Veterinarian of the Month

For Dr. Kathryn Riccitelli, becoming a veterinarian was more than a dream, it was a calling that started when she was a little girl. “I’m actually that typical story of a little girl wanting to be a veterinarian when she grew up,” she says with a smile. “Because my sister had allergies, we couldn’t have pets, which probably made me want it even more. As soon as I was old enough, I started shadowing at a clinic and I’ve been hooked ever since.”

That early passion has turned into a rewarding career helping pets live their best lives. “What I love most is getting a pet through a tough case and seeing them back to doing the things they love,” Dr. Riccitelli shares. “There’s nothing better than watching that transformation.”

What makes her time at Pet Wellness Clinics so special? “The people,” she says. “I get to work with such wonderful teammates — I’ve definitely made friends for life.”

Outside of work, Dr. Riccitelli’s talents extend beyond medicine. A lifelong musician, she plays both the piano and oboe — a fun and creative outlet that balances her busy veterinary life.
