Local Veterinary Clinic Raises Money for Homeless Animals

ZIONSVILLE, IN (January 2, 2018) – Pet Wellness Clinics, a Central Indiana leader in top veterinary services, raises $2,034.92 through their "Peace. Love. Pets." giving campaign for the Humane Society for Boone County to help the all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization continue providing the highest quality care to pets in need. The veterinary provider is offering continual medical services to current and incoming animals of the shelter in conjunction with the monetary donation as part of their dedication to supporting animal welfare.

"We feel it is our duty to support the happiness, safety and health of all animals, and ‘Peace. Love. Pets.’ allowed us to do that in two ways," said Dr. Mike Graves, owner of Pet Wellness Clinics. "First, providing more resources for the Humane Society of Boone County to continue saving and creating a safe haven for animals, and secondly, educating pet owners on the importance of year-round care that’s affordable and effective for their pet’s wellness."

The "Peace. Love. Pets." campaign enrolled 192 pets into the Pet Wellness Clinics’ Pet Prime™ Membership program. The program lays a positive foundation for a pet’s health and provides cost-savings for their owner by including all the vaccinations a pet needs, annual heart worm, flea and tick prevention, unlimited exams, technician visits and 10% off prescription medications and nutraceutical items. For every new member, Pet Wellness Clinics donated ten dollars to the Humane Society for Boone County.

"We are very grateful for Pet Wellness Clinics generosity and efforts to help support our all-volunteer organization," said Susan Austin, president and director of Animal Welfare and Fundraising for Humane Society for Boone County. "The proceeds will help us continue providing an even better service to the abandoned, neglected and homeless animals of Boone County."

The money raised will go towards animal food, toys, cleaning supplies, beds and more for the Humane Society of Boone County. Pet Wellness Clinics will present the Humane Society of Boone County with a check for $2,034.92 at their shelter located at 5366 S. Indianapolis Rd., Whitestown, IN on January 3rd from 10:00am-12:00pm. The media is invited to attend.
