Toni Smith, RVT ~ Employee of the Month

This month we're recognizing Toni Smith, RVT, for her outstanding contributions since 2017. Toni brings professionalism, flexibility, and a great attitude to everything she does, and it hasn't gone unnoticed. 

Toni graduated from Harrison College in 2013 and has built a strong career in veterinary medicine. In 2017, she joined Airport Animal Emergi-Center, transitioning to full time in 2024. Over the years, she has become a dependable and valued member of our team. 

Toni was nominated by her team for the way she has stepped into the lead receptionist role with confidence and professionalism, consistently going above and beyond, including picking up technician shifts whenever the team needs extra support. As Leigh shared: 

“Her flexibility, positive attitude, and strong work ethic do not go unnoticed. Toni consistently goes above and beyond, and she brings a smile, energy, and encouragement to every shift. We're incredibly grateful for everything she does for the hospital and our team." 

That energy and encouragement show up in everything Toni does, and it makes a real difference for the people around her, both patients and coworkers alike. 

Outside of work, Toni enjoys spending time with her husband, Dexter, their four children, and their dog, Jasmyne. In her free time, she likes watching favorite TV shows with Dexter, spending time with family and friends, and being outside.
