Dr. Paola Sepulveda earned her veterinary degree from Universidad Mayor in Santiago, Chile, in 2016, completing wildlife and anesthesia rotations at Michigan State University that same year. Her special interests include internal medicine, feline medicine, nutrition, and emergency care.

Before coming to the U.S., Dr. Sepulveda spent five years as a primary care and emergency veterinarian at a 24/7 hospital in Santiago. She then worked as a veterinary technician in Rhode Island and joined Pet Wellness Clinics in 2024, continuing as a technician while completing her U.S. certification. In 2025 she earned her AVMA ECFVG certification, which qualifies internationally trained veterinarians to practice in the U.S.

Dr. Sepulveda’s dog, Aukan, and cat, Emma, live with her parents back home in Chile. She hasn’t gone without feline company here, though. She has fostered a cat named B and is currently caring for another foster cat. Outside the clinic, you’ll find her at concerts, playing guitar and bass, catching up on movies and series, following Formula 1, or planning her next trip.
