Dr. Finney strives to fully utilize his knowledge, skills, and abilities to enhance communities through veterinary services, with a focus on strengthening the "Human–Animal Bond."

Born in Indiana and raised in Minnesota, he developed a lifelong passion for canoeing and kayaking across rivers, lakes, and oceans. He is married, with two children and four grandchildren.

Currently, Dr. Finney practices small animal medicine on the north side of Indianapolis, serving the Carmel and Fishers areas. Most recently, he served as the full-time Resident Veterinarian and Medical Director at a high-volume rural veterinary clinic located in the forested hills of south-central Indiana, where he practiced Common Sense Medicine.
